Bre Tiesi Opens Up About Co-Parenting with Nick Cannon and Navigating Their Unique Relationship
Bre Tiesi is opening up about the unique dynamics of her relationship with Nick Cannon and the challenges that come with it. In a conversation on Paul C. Brunson’s We Need to Talk podcast, the Selling Sunset star, 33, shared her experiences co-parenting their 2-year-old son, Legendary, while navigating an open relationship with Cannon.
Tiesi acknowledged that while she has accepted their arrangement, certain aspects can be difficult—particularly when it comes to special occasions. “Holidays can be hard,” she admitted. “There have been moments when I’ve thought, ‘If you’re doing this, could you take Ledgie with you?’ It’s not about jealousy, but about making sure our son is included in those experiences.”
Cannon, who has a total of 12 children, divides his time among his large family. Alongside Legendary, he is also father to 13-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey; sons Golden Sagon, 7, and Rise Messiah, 2, and daughter Powerful Queen, 3, with Brittany Bell; twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, 3, and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin, 2, with Abby De La Rosa; daughter Onyx Ice Cole, 2, with LaNisha Cole; and two children with Alyssa Scott—son Zen, who passed away at 5 months old in 2021 due to brain cancer, and daughter Halo Marie, born in December 2022.
Despite the complexities, Tiesi prioritizes ensuring that Legendary has a strong bond with his siblings. “I want to make sure he builds those relationships,” she shared. “I know that as they grow older, Nick will be able to bring them together more and create a stronger family connection.”
Right now, she explained, the younger children don’t interact as much, but she is committed to keeping the door open for them. “The goal is for everyone involved to feel comfortable so our kids can have a relationship,” she emphasized. “We don’t all have to be close, but I want the other moms to know that I genuinely care about their children and that they’re always welcome in my home.”
Tiesi also noted that she gets along well with most of the other mothers and is happy to facilitate sibling interactions. “There are always emotions involved, and I can’t control how others feel,” she said. “But if I’m invited and it’s okay, I’ll gladly bring Legendary. I’ll stop by, say hello, drop off a gift if needed, and make sure he gets to spend time with his siblings.”
